These are the rules for the City of Stockholm's boat mooring waiting list.

Rules for the City of Stockholm's boat mooring waiting list

The City of Stockholm provides boat moorings for recreational boats. Boat moorings are allocated to residents of the City of Stockholm. However, adults who are not residents may join the waiting list.

Joining the waiting list

  • Anyone with a Swedish personal identity number can register for the waiting list from the age of 18.

  • Your place in the waiting list is personal and cannot be transferred to another person.

  • To register, you must provide your name, personal identity number, postal address and an email address that is not already registered in the waiting list system.

  • If you register your official residential address, it will be updated automatically if you move within Sweden.

  • All communication is sent by email. You are responsible for keeping your email address up to date.

Waiting list fee

  • You must pay an annual waiting list fee to remain on the waiting list.

  • The fee is set by the City Council and may change following a political decision. You will be informed if the fee changes.

  • The fee is paid when you register and covers the following 12 months.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that the fee reaches the City of Stockholm by the payment due date.

  • Payment is made through the e-service.

  • The waiting list fee is non-refundable if you leave the waiting list or accept a boat mooring.

  • Your waiting time starts on the day your first payment is received by the City of Stockholm.

  • Your registration is completed only after the waiting list fee has been paid. If you do not complete your registration, your details will be deleted and you will need to register again.

  • If your payment is late, your waiting time is paused from the payment due date until the City of Stockholm receives your payment.

  • If payment has not been received within 90 days of the due date, your place in the waiting list will be cancelled.

  • If you have an overdue payment, you cannot register your interest in vacant boat moorings.

  • You can leave the waiting list by not paying the annual fee, by requesting removal through the e-service or if you die.

Eligibility

  • The waiting list is not available to people with protected personal details or a protected registered address.

Personal data

The Sports Administration processes your personal data to manage your waiting list registration, fulfil contractual obligations and comply with legal requirements.

The personal data processed includes your name, personal identity number, address, telephone number and email address. This information is provided by you and, where applicable, through the Swedish Population Register.

Your personal data is processed by authorised staff and by service providers acting on behalf of the City of Stockholm under data processing agreements.

Your personal data will be stored while you remain registered in the waiting list or have an active boat mooring agreement.

As a public authority, the Sports Administration is subject to Swedish legislation on public access to official documents. This means that information sent to the City may become a public document and may be disclosed following a legal confidentiality assessment.

Some personal data may be retained for longer where required by archive or accounting legislation.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction of processing where applicable, object to processing and request data portability.

Your personal data is not used for automated decision-making and is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.

Allocation of vacant boat moorings

  • You decide through the e-service whether you wish to take part in the next allocation of vacant boat moorings.

  • If you are offered a boat mooring that matches your preferences but choose not to complete the agreement, your waiting time will be reset to zero. The waiting list fee will not be refunded.

  • If you already have a boat mooring with the City of Stockholm and are allocated another mooring that matches your preferences, your existing agreement will end immediately and your previous boat mooring will be offered to another customer.

Boat mooring agreements

  • Vacant boat moorings are offered to the eligible applicant with the longest waiting time who has registered an interest.

  • Boat mooring agreements are only offered to residents of the City of Stockholm. You may join the waiting list before becoming a resident, but you cannot be offered a boat mooring until you are a resident.

  • Each customer may hold only one boat mooring agreement.

Transitional rules

  • If you were registered in the previous waiting list system, the date of your first payment in that system will be used as the start date for your waiting time in the current system.

  • If you had waiting time at more than one marina in the previous system, the longest waiting time will be transferred to the current waiting list.

  • People who were registered in the previous waiting list system but no longer meet the eligibility requirements for the current system will not be transferred.
