Stockholm offers excellent fishing in waters rich with fish. Depending on where you fish and the method you use, you may need a fishing permit. The City of Stockholm works continuously to conserve fish populations and ensure that fish can thrive and reproduce in our waters.
Fish Conservation
Fish conservation focuses on improving conditions for fish species to reproduce and grow naturally. We contribute to the annual release of 150,000 sea trout. We work with many regional partners on fish conservation and fisheries enforcement. This also includes protective measures, monitoring, and licensed culling of mammals and birds that have a negative impact on fish stocks.
